結果早幾日，新阿頭突然係我個位後面出現，睇到我螢幕上份report，隨口問了一句：「咦，琴日叫你做果份report, 今日咁快搞掂嘅？係咪用咗 AI 呀？」
我果一刻即刻hang 左機，因為佢新黎，大家都係夾左幾星期，未知佢份人係點。個腦一涼，即刻閃過三個畫面：
💣公司最近都有講生意唔係咁好，唔知會唔會炒人，本來唔算多野做嘅我，比佢知我用五分鐘就做完份report，會唔會炒左我，叫第二個用AI 做左佢算？
💣份 Report 其實都有幾多公司資料，比佢知道我將公司數據外洩左比 AI, 會唔會好大鑊？
💣如果我話係用AI 做，會唔會以後全公司嘅report 都叫我做埋呢？
就在這3秒鐘的沉默裡，我望住佢，心跳加速，最後我露出一個疲憊而專業的微笑說：「邊有咁快啊，知你出trip, 我諗住比個draft 你，早d 過一轉先。所以我OT 整左8成，今朝再對番d Data ，下晝先比到你嫁。」
我睇住佢笑笑口咁吹左兩句就點點頭走開，我先鬆左一口氣。

As a little potato who’s been grinding away for a few years, of course I’m using AI to get things done! My tiny company doesn’t even have an IT department, so there’s no question about using AI.
The other day, my new boss suddenly popped up behind me and noticed the report on my screen. Out of nowhere, he asked, “Hey, didn’t I just ask you for that report yesterday? How’d you finish it so quickly? Did you use AI?”
In that moment, I totally froze. He’s new, and we’ve only been working together for a few weeks, so I wasn’t sure what he’d think. My mind raced through three scenarios:
The company’s been murmuring about business not being great—what if they start laying people off? I mean, I usually don’t have much to do, and if I let him know I whipped up that report in five minutes, would he just fire me and have someone else use AI instead?
The report actually had some sensitive company data. If he knows I leaked company info to AI, would that be a huge problem?
💣 If I admit I used AI, would he expect me to handle all the reports for the whole company from now on?
💣 In that three seconds of silence, I stared at him, my heart racing. Finally, I smiled a tired but professional smile and said, “What, that fast? I heard you were heading out on a trip, so I thought I’d give you a draft earlier. I cranked out about 80% last night and double-checked the data this morning before handing it to you this afternoon.”
💣 He just chuckled and nodded as he walked away, and I finally let out a sigh of relief.
Honestly, it’s not that I can’t use AI—I just know how to navigate the workplace culture. So, in front of the boss, we always have to act like good little “wage slave,” right?”
