話說某個Project,BA做好requirement study,當中有十幾個必要integration 要做,PM一句話 “To keep it simple!”

So, a Business Analyst (BA) friend was just venting about a “near-zero experience” Project Manager (PM) at their office.

During a recent project, the BA did a deep dive into the requirements and identified over 10 essential integrations. But then, Mr. PM swoops in with a classic: “To keep it simple!” and proceeds to delete a bunch of them. The BA tried to fight back, pointing out that this would create a mountain of manual work for the users later, but the PM just pulled the “I’m the boss” card and insisted on his way.

Fast forward a few days to the client meeting. This client is a total pro and has eyes like a hawk—they immediately spotted the missing pieces and asked why those crucial interfaces were gone. Without missing a beat, the PM calmly says: “Oh, my colleague just missed them. Hey BA, go ahead and add those back in.”

…The BA basically got thrown under the bus for no reason!
The BA sighed, saying they used to work with a “No-Code PM” who didn’t know the tech side but had total trust in the BA’s judgment and was a pro at timelines and managing expectations. Now, stuck with this “Zero-Experience PM” (0ExPM), he is seriously ready to jump ship!
